But Wale and Cudi? I had to sit and ponder this thing. I mean, hell, they talk and rap like they read books, so they CAN'T be that ignorant, right? Apparently I was wrong. And apparently it's not a matter of intelligence at all."<br /><br />I'm sure you knew I was going to touch on this, right? I think that's a big misconception folks have -- y'know, the entertainers considered more "low brow" would cling to ignorance like sexism more so than the "evolved" artists, or at least, ones perceived to have more sense. Misogyny and patriarchy are embedded in people's minds. Some are conscious of it, most aren't. Not to go way left field but you already know even some of our biggest fighters for equal rights were sexist as all hell. And even with our Black president, people were threatened by Michelle Obama, who up until recently, was sort of more accomplished than her husband.
